Speech AI apps: 8 new Speech AI tools, releases, updates, and more

More companies are building with Speech AI than ever before, thanks to the increased accuracy, speed, and availability of Speech AI models.

Companies across industries are integrating Speech AI to build next-generation meeting note-takers, digital advertising tools, conversation intelligence tools, and more.

The past few months have been no exception. In this article, we showcase eight new cutting-edge tools, apps, releases, and updates from diverse companies building with Speech AI.

First, let’s explore: what is Speech AI?

What is Speech AI?

Speech AI models are used to build tools that transcribe and analyze large amounts of asynchronous and streaming video and audio data.

Speech AI is composed of three components:

Asynchronous Speech-to-Text: Built with the latest AI research, asynchronous Speech-to-Text models transcribe audio and video streams at near-human accuracy, with added features such as Speaker Diarization, profanity filtering, automatic punctuation and casing, and more.

Streaming Speech-to-Text: Streaming Speech-to-Text models convert live audio streams, like virtual meetings, into text at high accuracy and low latency.

Speech Understanding: By leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Audio Intelligence models, Speech Understanding models let users analyze bulk audio data, extract insights, generate summaries, and more.

What’s new in Speech AI apps and tools?

Companies in diverse industries are building with Speech AI to create powerful tools and applications for their users, with new updates and releases every day.

Here are eight recent Speech AI apps, tools, releases, and updates:

1. ClassDojo

ClassDojo recently released its new online classroom management platform and app. Free for schools, ClassDojo’s suite of AI tools helps schools and teachers create story posts, perform assessments, message families, and create important class materials.

ClassDojo has a global community of more than 50 million teachers and families already using its AI-powered app.

2. Fireflies.ai

Fireflies.ai uses AI to power its voice assistant and transcription tools that help automate their users’ workflows.

3. Augment

Earlier this summer, Augment raised $277 million at a $977 million valuation to build a platform that uses AI as a copilot to help developers work faster and smarter. Guy Gur-Ari, co-founder of Augment, attributes the use of its platform and its AI-assisted tools to a greater than 40% increase in overall developer productivity.

“The best software comes from augmenting developers, not replacing them. We believe that AI technology can help developers stay focused on the joy of coding while eliminating the toil that can slow progress to a crawl,” says Gur-Ari in a recent blog post.

4. Loop.tv

Loop Media, a multichannel streaming CTV platform that curates entertainment options for users, has announced that it will now offer live sports and live broadcasts to its subscribers, expanding its offering to a new key group of consumers.
